    If you need help, services, or information about iSeries AS400, you will find a wide variety of sources available from YTMS to assist you. The YTMS team consists of a wide range of IT specialists that enables us to offer a comprehensive range of Professional Consultancy Services available to iSeries and AS/400 customers. These services have been developed to meet the high demand from customers who have either limited resource or prefer to bring in experienced consultants for those projects that fall out side of general day-to-day system management tasks.  

YTMS predominately provides software solutions and services for the iSeries / AS/400. YTMS has various technical specialists in the team, each with many years experience. They are able to offer help and advice in support of the products we market, and provide technical support and back up to our customers.  

RSM/400 – Restricted State Manager - RSM/400 is a software product that enables you to schedule tasks that normally require staff to be in attendance and signed on to the system console. These tasks would typically fall into the category of a full system save or reclaim storage. But RSM offers you more than that; it allows you to define save sets for daily, weekly and monthly saves, it also allows you to schedule any command or program to run while the system is in a restricted state, freeing staff from those long hours on site or insuring remote sites have the regular full system saves that are so important to recovery in the event of disaster occurring. In addition to the software product, services are available to help you implement and design a backup strategy that insures you realize the full advantage of the products capabilities.

Upgrade/400 – OS/400 Upgrades - Upgrade/400 is the upgrade service designed to take the risk out of operating system upgrades. This service starts with a questionnaire that provides us with all the information we need to plan your upgrade effectively. Anything you do not know we find out as part of our on-site review. After we have completed the upgrade we also provide 20 days support for any post upgrade related problems or questions you may have.

S-Jump – Upgrade from Unsupported operating systems - The S-Jump gets you through unsupported upgrade paths with one system outage. For example, if you want to upgrade to V5R1 and you currently have V4R3 installed you will need to first, upgrade to V4R4 or V4R5 and then to V5R1. That constitutes two system outages, four system backups and two cumulative PTF loads. The S-Jump reduces all this by half, V4RX to V5RX, one upgrade.  

Maintain/400 – PTF Maintenance - This service complements Upgrade/400 in that it is designed to ensure your system is kept up-to-date with the latest PTF releases from IBM. This service includes three PTF Cumulative package loads per year and a PTF alert for fixes relevant to your system.

Tune/400 - Performance Analysis - A thorough analysis of system performance is undertaken. All issues or problems found are documented and resolution recommendations made.

Growth/400 - Capacity Planning - This service allows the you to plan ahead for seasonal peaks and business growth by ensuring the iSeries has the capacity to accommodate that growth while continuing to provide acceptable response times and transaction through-put.

Migration/400 – System Migration - Migration/400 is a comprehensive service for those customers wishing to replace an existing system. The service incorporates all migration tasks from system installation, operating system upgrades, and data migration through to networking and security.

Rationalize/400 - System Consolidation - Rationalize/400 is designed to help those customers who wish to consolidate two or more systems on to one or more iSeries. Included in this service are the following: Capacity planning, hardware definition, system's installation, hardware configuration (LPAR set-up if required), data migration, communication and security set-up.

LPAR/400 – LPAR Configuration - Setting up logical partitions remains a fairly complex task and one that’s important to get right from the beginning. As well as planning and configuring LPAR this service also includes setting up the iSeries Central and iSeries Navigator including on-site training.

Secure/400 - Security Review - Secure/400 conducts a thorough analysis of the customers security set-up including; data security, physical security, network security and exit points. All issues or exposures are documented and recommendations made.

RISC/400 – CISC to RISC Migration - RISC/400 is a complete side-by-side migration service. RISC/400 has been developed with safety in mind. Not only do we plan in detail, we also consider compatibility with all third party applications and hardware that are to be migrated. In order to make this relatively risk free, the migration is completed in three stages. Stage one: full system load and migration on to target system. Stage two: thorough testing of all applications, hardware and connectivity. Stage three: Subject to satisfactory test results, a data refresh is conducted and the system configured to reflect production network values and then promoted in to the production environment.

HealthCheck/400 – System Audit - This service audits your iSeries(s) system and includes security, performance, operational processes, printing, backups etc. This is a combination of several services aimed at insuring you are getting the best return on your investment. The report produced not only explores both good and bad areas of your systems and work practices, but also highlights areas where you could introduce new technology and why.

Hardware/400 – Installation Services - In today's world IBM now considers more and more hardware features to be customer installable. However, fitting these features is not necessarily any easier or more straightforward and due to the many things that can and do go wrong you may still want these features fitted by an experienced engineer.

Domino/400 - Installation and set-up - We specialise in Domino on the iSeries. This service is for customers who want an integrated email solution. For example those customer still on Office Vision and would like to migrate to a product that is going to be supported and developed for the foreseeable future. Or customers who simply want a reliable scalable email solution with all the added functionality and integration that Lotus Notes brings with it.

Disaster Recovery/400 – Planning and Testing - The purpose of this service is to identify and document all critical business processes and priorities the recovery process. Based on this information an existing plan can be tested or a new one developed. Thorough testing is carried out in order to validate the plan.

Network/400 –Infrastructure Audit, Design and Implementation - This service is dedicated to insuring you are realizing the maximum benefit from your existing network today, while helping to plan for tomorrow. The service covers Web access, VPN, LAN and WAN networks, single data outlets to large-scale flood wiring or wireless solutions.

Netserver/400 - File and Print Serving - One of the iSeries best kept secrets is its file and print serving capability. If you want to store files or access network printers your iSeries can do it. There is no need for client access or any other iSeries communication software, all you need is Windows Explorer and you have access to the iSeries disk subsystem, data and attached printers. This service will help you not only implement Netserver but also understand it. Just think how easy accessing, managing and backing up PC data could be.

Technology/400 –Systems for Business - The purpose of this service is to analyze how a company operates and conducts business. Through this understanding, we are able to advise on the use of technologies like; Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management, E-Commerce, Supply Chain Management, EDI, Web etc, etc ... where they would integrate well, and of course potential benefits and limitations.

Education/400 – Training for the iSeries - The iSeries, unlike any other server, has substantial new and improved functionality added to it every year. This service is for those customers who simply want a refresh on basic or advanced system operations and for those who want to know more. The iSeries is becoming more and more reliant on GUI interfaces such as iSeries Navigator and iSeries Central; in fact there are now certain tasks that can only be performed through these interfaces. The courses available are conducted on site using our own dedicated iSeries system. This allows students to learn the theory and then put it into practice. The courses available can also be tailored to include specific areas of interest such as LPAR, The IFS, File and Print Serving etc.

Automation/400 – Automate the iSeries - The iSeries remains one of the most reliable servers available in the market place today. It is renowned for its stability, requiring little maintenance or attention. However, your iSeries server is still business critical and will require support and scheduled maintenance.
